- 20/21st August - "Another dominant weekend for Pearson"
It was another
dominant weekend for Ian at the Norfolk track, sealing another
two class victories and one overall podium for third place -
obliterating the lap record in the process; setting a 1:09:886.
With a low
down force setting on the car for Snettertons long straights,
Ian was even able to challenge the overall race leaders on the
opening laps of both races - almost taking the lead on the first
lap into the esses, after the long revitt straight.
But, as the
story has been for much of this season, once the quicker FR2000
cars got into their stride, Ian was powerless to fight them
and gradually slipped back to a credible 3rd and 4th position
overall and more importantly, two more class victories.
