BARC Formula Renault Championship 2007

Renault UK is the longest-serving manufacturer in British motorsport, with 30 unbroken years running national level championships and 2005 marks the beginning of increased involvement from the manufacturer in the popular Formula Renault BARC Championship.

Formula Renault BARC will provide an ideal proving ground for ambitious young drivers who want to race a state-of-the-art, composite chassis single-seater but at an affordable budget in the FR2000 class.

Uniquely, the "Club Class", for space frame Formula Renault Sport cars, provides serious amateur racers with a place to race in a manufacturer-backed series.

Together with the BARC, Renault UK has put together a package designed to allow teams and drivers access the country's best venues - including Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Silverstone and Thruxton - but in a way which keeps costs down.

The eight meeting calendar has four one-day race meetings and four two-day, double header meetings making a 12 round championship.

The championship benefits from a £12,000 prize fund with awards down to the fith placed finisher in both classes at every round. The two class champions will also be given help to progress at the end of the season with free of charge entry into the Formula Renault UK Winter Championship.
